Northeastern University-Charlotte hosted the October residency for the Doctor of Law & Policy (DLP)
program. The 4-day intensive began with a reception at the heart of our city – at Trade and Tryon -with students, faculty and Charlotte community leaders. Classes included discussions with elected officials from across the Southeast, an interactive study of southern politics and the progression of Civil Rights in the South and a “Civil Rights Ride” to Charleston, SC. Throughout the journey, DLP students engaged with leaders, studied policies, and reviewed case law to better understand the evolution of the Civil Rights Movement.
