Beginning in the Fall 2014 semester, The Department of Political Science in collaboration with other departments and programs at Northeastern University will be offering a Master of Science in Security and Resiliency Studies. Utilizing the interdisciplinary expertise of scholars from across Northeastern University, this degree will offer students the opportunity to explore such material public and international issues as terrorism, homeland security, resiliency, and sustainability.

The Masters in Security and Resilience Studies trains the next generation of security professionals to face the new challenges of the 21st century. A cutting-edge academic program, it provides a unique combination of traditional security studies coursework with training in technical fields such as cybersecurity policy, business sustainability, and urban coastal resilience. A combination of analytical and technical coursework is designed to enable students to succeed in security management, policy, and leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.
