Program Description

Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate, treat, and counsel individuals of all ages and backgrounds for cognitive-communication and swallowing impairments. Examples of these include delayed language development, aphasia, dysarthria, voice and resonance problems, and stuttering. During your graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology at Northeastern University, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to effectively help such individuals. Intensive on- and off-campus clinical practicums will provide you with valuable experiences working with infants, children, and adults who present with a variety of diagnoses and disorders. Opportunities will be available for you to participate in research and community service. By graduation, you will be prepared for employment in educational, medical, and private practice settings.
