Program Description

As a student in the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program at Northeastern University you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to identify and examine health problems that impact urban and underserved populations. Upon graduation from the program you will be able to assume a position as a nurse researcher, educator, and scholar in a school of nursing, clinical agency, research center, or other health care organization. Your preparation as a clinical nurse researcher will position you to participate in cross-disciplinary research teams that describe, design, and test interventions to improve health care for individuals, families, and communities living in a wide array of metropolitan settings.
