The Mimesis Ensemble presents “Boston Currents,” a program of compositions by composers based in or associated with Boston. The program includes works by Northeastern Professors Anthony De Ritis and Ronald Bruce Smith, as well as works by Gunther Schuller, Yehudi Wyner, Mohammed Fairouz, John Heiss, Alex Stein, Elliott Schwartz, Malcolm Peyton, and David Fulmer. All ten composers will be in attendance.
The concert is Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 8:00 pm, in the Fenway Center, 77 St. Stephen Street, on the campus of Northeastern University. Tickets are $20/$15 for students and seniors/Northeastern University students admitted free of charge. Tickets are available online at www.gonu.com and in person at the NU Box Office, 109 Ell Hall, 360 Huntington Avenue, Boston, and at the door starting at 7:00 pm the evening of the performance. The Fenway Center is handicapped-accessible.
