  • The National Academy of Engineering announces Simon Pitts and Michael B. Silevitch will receive the 2015 Bernard M. Gordon Prize for Engineering Education

    January 8, 2015 - The Gordon Prize was established in 2001 recognizing new modalities and experiments in education that develop effective engineering leaders. Founded in 1964, the U.S. National Academy of Engineering is a private, independent, nonprofit institution that provides engineering leadership in service to the nation. Its mission is to advance the well-being of the nation by promoting a vibrant engineering profession and by marshalling the expertise and insights of eminent engineers to provide independent advice to the federal government on matters involving engineering and technology.

  • Visionary engineer invests in Northeastern again, expands leadership program

    November 4, 2014 - Pio­neering engi­neer and entre­pre­neur Bernard M. Gordon, H’07, has once again invested in North­eastern Uni­ver­sity to edu­cate engi­neering leaders at the nexus of acad­emia and industry. His new $10 mil­lion gift launches the Gordon Insti­tute of Engi­neering Lead­er­ship and builds on the suc­cess of the Gordon Engi­neering Lead­er­ship Pro­gram he cre­ated with a $20 mil­lion invest­ment in 2007.

    August 21, 2014 - The 2014 Gordon Fellows gathered for a Graduation Dinner and Pinning Ceremony to mark their successful completion of the Gordon Engineering Leadership Program. The celebration included 34 Gordon Fellows, GEL benefactor Bernie Gordon, as well as program faculty and staff.
