Steve Todd is an EMC Fellow working for EMC’s Office of the CTO. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Steve is a prolific inventor in the high-tech industry, having filed over 200 patent applications with the USPTO. His inventions have earned billions of dollars in revenue for EMC. These inventions range from the creation of complex RAID algorithms in the 1980s to cloud-based products in recent years. His latest invention was named Most Innovative Storage Product of the Year by CRN.

Steve is currently EMC’s Vice President of Strategy and Innovation. He assists the CTO in the creation of a global technical strategy, and drives innovation around that strategy. Steve is a world-wide ambassador for innovation at EMC, recently speaking at events such as the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia, the Beijing Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Center in Cairo, Egypt.

Steve is a published author of two books: Innovate with Influence and Innovate with Global Influence. He writes regularly on his own blog, the Information Playground, and is also a regular contributor to Innovation Excellence, where he was recently recognized as one of the Top Ten Innovation Bloggers in the industry.
