Spring 2012 Distinguished Speaker Series
On Thursday and Friday, January 19th and 20th, our Distinguished Guest Lecturer will be Dr. Tim Davis, a consultant in the general area of quality in engineering and manufacturing processes, with emphasis on mistake prevention and robustness improvement.

Tim Davis is a Chartered Statistician (CStat) and Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), London, and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechI), London. He is also a senior member of the American Society for Quality and a member of the American Statistical Association. Previously, he has acted as a Vice President of the RSS, and Chairman of the Business and Industrial Section. He is currently serving his second 4-year term on the Society’s council and was elected to the Executive committee for the 2011 session.
Dr. Davis is an honorary professor of statistical engineering at the School of Engineering, Design, and Technology, at the University of Bradford, and an honorary professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick. From 2001 – 2008, he was the Henry Ford Technical Fellow for Quality Engineering at the Ford Motor Company.
