Northeastern offers a range of global academic opportunities that help shape our students’ understanding of our interconnected 21st-century society.
We partner with more than 60 institutions in 43 countries around the world on traditional study-abroad programs, ranging from the Spanish language-intensive program at the Universidad del Salvador, in Argentina, to the School for International Training program at the University of Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, which emphasizes independent field study as much as classroom learning.
The University also offers two unique approaches to international study:
- Dialogue of Civilizations. This curriculum-based program offers five-week, faculty-led learning experiences to dozens of countries around the world, for intensive peer and leadership engagement in a variety of topics in politics, economics, culture, history, business, and international relations.
- The N.U.in Program. A select group of incoming freshmen are admitted to this program. They spend their fall semester studying at one of five global universities, in Australia, Costa Rica, England, Greece, or Ireland. Students gain insight into international culture before their first semester on the Northeastern campus.
