Safe-Zone Training Sessions

You’re invited!
The Safe Zone Program Committee of The Department of Residential Life invites you to attend Northeastern’s very own Safe Zone training program.

A Safe Zone is a 2 hour training program conducted at colleges and universities around the country in an effort to educate and train students, faculty, and staff on ways to reduce homophobia.

The goal is to create a campus community that is welcoming for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff. At the end of the training program, you will have the opportunity to join a network of students, faculty, and staff who have completed the program and willing to display there safe zone sticker.

Attendance and participation is voluntary. Faculty/Staff are encouraged but not required to attend or participate.

The Safe Zone Program is the recipient of the 2007 Diversity Recognition Award sponsored by the Office of Affirmative Action & Diversity.
