Help Urban Centers Thrive
Located in the heart of Boston, Northeastern views its urban engagement as a central part of its teaching and research mission. While many urban universities are committed to enhancing the urban environment, Northeastern’s “think and do” philosophy sets it apart. The interdisciplinary and global perspective Northeastern brings to urban issues ensures your gift will make an impact.

Urban partnerships
New partnerships are further developing Northeastern’s expertise in urban policy and research, while addressing challenges like economic development, urban health care, affordable housing, public safety, and public education.
Students are also deeply involved in addressing critical needs of the community, last year performing more than 110,000 hours of local and global service learning through the Center of Community Service.
Private support is critical as Northeastern builds partnerships with neighboring communities and develops impactful urban policy and research programs.
