Consider a patient case or interview an older adult in your life. Identify all the medications used by the patient including prescription and non-prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications and vitamins, supplements and natural products.

1. Use one or more general drug information resource to learn about the uses and potential adverse effects of these medications. Given the clinical history of your patient, are they at special risk for any adverse effects of the medications?
2. Using one or more of the templates provided in this page, create a medication list for the patient. What questions might this patient have for their healthcare providers?
