Case #1

Please visit the WHISSL site.

Scroll down the list and select the patient, Filomena Sanchez. Carefully review her entire electronic patient record. Using one of Mrs. Sanchez’s problem areas based on FIM, select one of the models above and create a therapy plan to address that problem. How would the therapy plan vary using another model? Provide some specific examples.

Case #2

Mrs. A. comes in for her annual physical examination. Her PCP refers her to you to address the stress she is experiencing currently in her life related to the recent death of her husband, her reduction in social security benefits, her youngest daughter’s recent move to the West Coast, and lack of confidence driving a car. Select one of the conceptual/theoretical models above and create an approach to address her stress. Develop an alternative approach using another one of the models.
