Fill in your convoy: Draw three concentric circles. The center, P, is you. Enter initials of people who are important in your life right now in terms of what they do for you and what you do for them.
Innermost circle: people you are closest to. It is usually stable over time; is not role dependent; your confidents.
Middle circle: people who are somewhat role related; they are likely to change over time; includes family, friends, or classmates.
Outer circle: tied directly to role; is most likely to change; may include neighbors, co-workers, supervisors, classmates.
Remember that your convoy is usually stable from age 35 - 55 and then decreases. Circle 1 relationships keep older adults from entering nursing homes.
