Have students choose a state and describe the aging population in that state. Locate community and state resources for these populations.

After watching the Frontline Living Old, propose how long-term care for older adults should be conceptualized, organized, and provided to insure that older adults have a quality life? What public policy issues are involved? With what must public policy be concerned? What public policy solutions do you propose?

Interview an elderly person (over 75) and discuss with them what he or she perceived are the most pressing policy issues for the elderly in American in general and in their situation in particular?
