The Office of the General Counsel Newsletter, Of Counsel, is published up to four times per year and contains advisories about legal issues, legal developments and University policies that may be of interest and relevance to the entire University community. U.S. panel backs current research rules
The Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues has issued a report concerning federally sponsored research involving human volunteers, concluding that current rules and regulations provide adequate safeguards to mitigate risk.
Federal Government releases guidance on diversity
The U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Justice of have issued guidance to explain how, consistent with existing law, postsecondary institutions can voluntarily consider race to further the compelling interest of achieving diversity.
