Jarheart

Jarheart, a stealth, top-down action game, puts you in control of a character with a lantern whose objective is to find and eliminate all enemies on the map. Although stealth action games like these have been done, Team The Captains of Fate added a unique mechanic where the only light source is the lantern that your character is holding. Due to the lighting, the player will not be able to see enemies until they are in range of the lantern. When in the light, the enemies will spot your character and attempt to eliminate you, so the player has to be cautious and strategic with every enemy elimination.

By mid-day Saturday, the group had established the concept and overarching theme of the game: a horror game inspired by creepy mythology in general. Although they had their theme down, some art assets completed, and some of the dynamic lighting finished, their main concerns at this time were trying to get controls down and getting the dynamic lighting to work properly.
