National Pan-Hellenic Council

The representatives of the nine African American fraternities and sororities established for community service, similar in structure and background with both graduate and undergraduate chapters, come together under the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The Council strives for Greek unity, high standards and self advancement for each member. The Northeastern University National Pan-Hellenic Council also provides community service opportunities, educational programs, and social events to all university students.

The stated purpose and mission of the organization in 1930 was “Unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” In 2010 we continue to strive to uphold the high standards of this purpose and mission through the programs and actions of the undergraduate NPHC.
