Scholarship of the Month
For the month of March, we have the following scholarship available to currently enrolled Undergraduate students:
The Michael Doherty Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Michael Doherty, a white 19 year old from Boston who was killed defending a black man from a gang of white youths during an altercation on the MBTA in 1980. Awards will be given to two male first-year students who have graduated from Boston public high schools.
Two awards of $3,000 are available.
To apply, you must submit a statement (one page maximum) discussing the importance of interracial understanding. In addition, you should complete the Scholarship of the Month Application and submit it to the Office of Student Financial Services. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need as determined by Student Financial Services.
All scholarships are for Undergraduate Day students only. To apply, you should complete the Scholarships of the Month Application and submit it to Student Financial Services.
