CPS Financial Aid Awards
Beginning in the summer 2013, the College of Professional Studies (CPS) will no longer mail award letters to current students. Financial aid award letters will only be available on myNEU. This decision aligns with Northeastern University’s strong drive toward sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices, which have already been embraced by the majority of the departments on campus. In addition, Student Financial Services would like to provide the same online experience to CPS students as it does to the Undergraduate Day population.
This new method of distributing financial aid awards will allow for a faster notification process, as students will no longer have to wait for the postal service to deliver the award letters. Furthermore, all communications sent from Student Financial Services (missing information letters, revised financial aid awards, etc.) will be sent electronically to the husky.neu.edu email address.
The awarding process for the 2013-2014 academic year will begin in June. Current students will be emailed a notification to their husky.neu.edu email address indicating that their award has been created. Students will then be able to log in and view their financial aid awards online through the myNEU portal, under the Self-Service tab ->My Financial Aid Status -> Awards tab.
If you have not done so already, we strongly recommend that you set up the myNEU portal as soon as possible. After creating the myNEU account, you will get access to the husky.neu.edu email address where you will receive all important Northeastern University communications. If you will not regularly use husky.neu.edu email address, forward this account to an email provider that you utilize more frequently.
