Northeastern requires a safe and reliable flow of energy and utilities throughout the year. The Utilities Management Division is responsible for ensuring that all departments within the university receive the energy and utilities needed for their operations. The Utilities Management team develops Northeastern's energy systems infrastructure and plans for the capacity to accommodate the growth and changing uses of campus buildings. The Utilities Division provides this by integrating the university’s immediate needs with long-term facility planning, regulatory requirements, operations, the purchasing of energy commodities, and daily operations of the university’s utility systems.
