Building Services Telephone: (617) 373-2757 The goal of the Building Services Department is to provide an aesthetically pleasing and safe environment in which to learn and work for the entire university community. The department provides both in-house and contracted custodial services in all academic and residential buildings at the Boston campus as well as several suburban campuses. In addition to scheduled maintenance, the department provides emergency services during floods, fires and snow/ice conditions. The department is also a leader in the recycling industry and has developed a 13-point recovery program as part of the university's overall Waste Management Plan. The department also ensures that all classrooms are well maintained, have all the necessary equipment and furnishings, and that audio visual equipment standards are met. The department is responsible for all pest control related issues through a contractor that utilizes the most current Integrated Pest Management techniques.
