The Facilities Customer Service Center  is the communications center responsible for gathering accurate information for work requests for repairs, special services and emergencies. The center is the primary command center for the Facilities Division. It is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our mission is to provide fast, efficient response to all work order requests and to serve the needs of the university faculty, staff and students. Our primary mission is to act as the liaison between the university community and the Facilities Division.
The Facilities CSC staff receives work requests (work orders) from within the university community and distributes them to the appropriate trade/custodial personnel.
All departmental work orders are processed through the Facilities Customer Service Center.
New Facilities Online Work Request System– Changes to the Facilities Online Work Request system/process which will take effect on May 1st.
Please note, EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2015 all work requests MUST be submitted via the work order system on your myNEU account.
To submit a work order through the new system, please follow these steps:

 

ALL FACULTY/STAFF

 

  1. 1. Log into myNEU with your credentials
  2. 2. Go to the “Services and Links” tab
  3. 3. Scroll down until you find “Facilities Online Work Request” on the left side under Faculty/Staff Services
  4. 4. Please fill out the work order completely and to the best of your ability

 

ALL STUDENTS

 

  1. 1. Log into myNEU with your credentials
  2. 2. Go to the “Community” tab
  3. 3. Click “Facilities Online Work Request” on the right side under Helpful Links
  4. 4. Please fill out the work order completely and to the best of your ability

The Facilities Customer Service Center:

  • >Receives, records, prints and distributes work orders to trade/custodial personnel
  • >Dispatches trade/custodial personnel to complete work requests
  • >Distributes keys to faculty and staff and to contractors and vendors
  • >Provides paging services
  • >Generates and distributes work order reports for trade supervisors and managers within Facilities
  • >Monitors Energy Management System (EMS) and NUnet Envirocom alarms
  • >Issues confined space permits to trade personnel and contractors
