Arts, Humanities & Architecture

Study in the arts and humanities at Northeastern is excellent preparation for a broad spectrum of career paths, while the co-op opportunities available in these areas are a great way to test out a specific career path.

Students majoring in the humanities—English, history, modern languages, philosophy, and linguistics—as well as visual and performing arts, will find an abundant range of co-ops to choose from.

Our broad-based partnerships with leading artistic and cultural institutions, such as the Museum of Fine Arts and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, elevate the quality as well as the quantity of co-op experiences available to students in these areas of study.

In arts-related fields, these include positions in print- and Web-based design and multimedia; as interns and CAD technicians, with architectural or architectural engineering firms; and with theatres and theatre companies, radio stations, record labels and recording studios, and performing arts organizations.

In the humanities, you can pursue co-op jobs in the media, law firms, schools, publishing houses, museums, public relations and advertising agencies, government and legislative offices, and high-technology companies and research organizations.
