Co-op in the Bouvé College of Health Science
Northeastern’s location just blocks from some of the most prestigious health-care and medical research facilities in the world means that students in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences have unmatched access to top co-op jobs, as well as outstanding clinical placements and networking opportunities.
Bouvé is an important partner in Boston's distinguished biomedical and health-care community, and our co-op program enables students to secure positions in hospitals, community health centers, biotech companies, schools, clinics, and research laboratories. Our co-op rotations consist of four- or six-month periods. Students in our three schools—Health Professions, Nursing, and Pharmacy—learn to work as members of a health care team, and our co-op opportunities reinforce that team approach.
Our seven co-op faculty members are integrated into the college, providing you with plenty of support for your job search, during co-op, and afterwards as you reflect on how the experience dovetailed with your classroom learning.
However, as is true of the co-op program throughout the University, you will need to compete for top co-op positions in the health sciences, just as you will for full-time positions after graduation. That is part of the value of co-op in preparing you to succeed as a professional in the real world.
Please visit the Bouvé College of Health Sciences Web site for more details about our cooperative education program.
