Global Entrepreneurship Week 16-19 November 2009

Restauranteur Extraordinaire

Hosted by: Entrepreneurs Club

Presenter:
Sue Morelli, Chief Executive Officer of Au Bon Pain

The NU Entrepreneurs Club is proud to welcome Sue Morelli, CEO of Au Bon Pain, to join us on Tuesday November 15th at 6:00 p.m. in 103 Churchill Hall.

Ms. Morelli leads the Boston-based bakery café restaurant chain with over 300 locations throughout the U.S. Sue joined Au Bon Pain in 1988 and served in a variety of roles responsible for everything from marketing to catering. In 2005, she led a management buyout of Au Bon Pain and subsequently her team achieved industry-leading sales and profit growth, opening 20 new cafés annually throughout the world. Au Bon Pain was named the #1 Fast Casual Brand for 2008 and, in each of the last three years, Health Magazine named Au Bon Pain one of the "healthiest restaurants in America."

Prior to her career at Au Bon Pain, Sue spent four years in marketing and general management roles with American Cablesystems, a successful cable television startup that went public and was subsequently acquired by Continental Cablevision.

Sue earned a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She now serves on the board of several local non-profit organizations and is a Trustee at Northeastern.
