Sanrio Company, Ltd.

Nozomi Hoshino is a graduate of the School of Political Science and Economic from Waseda University. When she was 20 years old, she decided to found a company for a limited time period; not because she was longing to be an entrepreneur, but because she thought it would be the shortest way to gain “real world” experience while she was still a student. In January 2006, she founded “marche bis Co., Ltd.”, and became its CEO. The company offers event-planning, advertising and operating service, especially for events which target college students. In November 2008, after she had successfully managed the roles of being the CEO as well as of being a student, she assigned the securities of the company to her junior fellow. After her graduation in April 2008, she now works at Sanrio Company, Ltd. She also published a book Daigaku 2-nen de Shacho ni naru koto (What it is like to be the CEO when you are second-year student).
