Dr. Ann Galligan
Associate professor and Co-op Coordinator,
Northeastern University
Dr. Ann Galligan is an associate professor and co-op coordinator for the Department of Art + Design at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Previously she served as a Senior Associate Scholar at the Center for Arts and Culture in Washington, D.C. Her research interests are in the fields of cultural policy, arts education and cultural planning. She is the author of numerous articles and chapters on these topics, and serves as lead executive editor of The Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society and consulting editor for the Creative Industries Journal.
She holds a B.A. in English from Brown University, and a master’s degree in communication and a doctorate in History of Education with an emphasis on arts and education policy from Columbia University.
She has conducted funded research for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the American Assembly and the Irvine Foundation. For the past ten years, she has worked on multiple projects in partnership with the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the New England Foundation for the Arts. She was responsible for drafting the Arts and Cultural Plan for the city of Providence, RI and drafting a comprehensive cultural plan for Pawtucket, RI.
Dr. Galligan has acted as a consultant for a number of arts and cultural organizations, including The New York City Ballet, The Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Dance Umbrella, and WNET. In addition, she has acted as project evaluator for the Boston Public Schools, the Everett Dance Theatre, Centercity Contemporary Arts, New Urban Arts, and Dance Umbrella.
Terrence Masson

I have 20 years of production experience, since 1994 running my own consulting company "Digital Fauxtography" as a Creative Producer, Director and VFX Supervisor. I've come up through the ranks on about 20 feature films as well as many commercials and video game projects including three Star Wars movies and getting SouthPark started. I am a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Visual Effects Society and have been active in SIGGRAPH since 1988, most recently as the 2006 Computer Animation Festival Chair and currently as SIGGRAPH 2010 Conference Chair. www.visualfx.com
Simon Roodhouse
Professor of Creative Industries,

Dr. Roodhouse is a Professor in Creative Industries at the University of the Arts, London, and lead editor of the Journal of the Creative Industries. Professor Roodhouse has substantial experience as an educator, manager and researcher. He has written extensively and published in national and international journals such as the Journal of Education through Partnership, the International Journal of Arts Management, the International Journal of Museum Management and Curatorship, and the Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society.
He has direct experience of management in the educational and cultural fields currently as the Chief Executive for the University Vocational Awards Council, and latterly as the founding Director of the Museum Training Institute where he developed and established national occupational standards of competence for the heritage sector. He has served as Dean of the School of Arts and Design, University of Derby, as Head of the School of Creative Arts, Northumbria University and as Head of Academic development, Bretton Hall, University of Leeds.

Jason Schupbach
Creative Economy Industry Director,
Massachusetts Department of Business Development.
Massachusetts economic development agency is the first in the nation to embrace a creative economy director position. He formerly was the director of ArtistLink, a major artist and creative economy initiative to stabilize and revitalize communities through the creation of affordable artist space created by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, The Boston Foundation, Ford Foundation, and several other arts and economic development agencies. He has a great passion for growing the creative economy and development innovative talent in Massachusetts. Jason has a degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's degree in city planning with an Urban Design Certificate from MIT. Jason worked for the mayor’s office and Department of Cultural Affairs in Chicago, and he was the staff urban planner and capital projects manager for the Department of Cultural Affairs in New York City. Jason has been involved in Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC), a ten-year national initiative to improve artists’ environment in the United States; his primary focus is the National Artist Space Initiative. Jason is graduate of the UMASS Center for Collaborative Emerging Leadership’s Cohort 2007 and was a recipient of the MIT Excellence in Public Service Award 2006.
