Chulian Zhang will defend his master thesis titled with "Inter-warp Divergence Aware Execution on GPU" and affiliated with the project Computer Vision on GPU on next Thursday (April 14th) in 306 Egan starting at 11:00 AM.

 

Professor Schirner's talk at DATE 2016

Next week, March 14th - 18th, Prof. Schirner will be away in Dresden, Germany to attend Design, Automation, and Test Conference in Europe (DATE 2016). He will talk about the paper "Improving Scalability of CMPs with Dense ACCs Coverage" [1].

Paper accepted at ASR MOV 2016

Congrats to NUCAR members Amir Momeni and Professor Kaeli and ESL members Hamed and Professor Schirner on their accepeted paper, OpenCL-based optimizations for acceleration of object tracking on FPGAs and GPUs[1] in ASR MOV 2016.

Paper accepted at GLSVLSI 2016

Congrats to Hamed (and alumni ESL member, Majid) for their accepted [1] titled wih "Guiding Power/Quality Exploration for Communication-Intense Stream Processing". The paper is related to the project "novel architecture for streaming applications". Read more about this project here.

Professor Schirner is away from Monday evening (Feb 1st) to wednesday morning (Feb 3rd) to attend DAC 16 TCP.

Paper accepted at DATE 2016

The paper titled with "Improving Scalability of CMPs with Dense ACCs Coverage" [1]  written by NasibehHamed and Professor Schirner has been accepted in the Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference (DATE).

This article investigates the semantics of ACC to ACC communication and proposes an energy efficient realization of those semantics.  Read more about this project here.

Professor Schirner's talk at IESS 2015

Next week, Nov 2nd - 6th, Prof. Schirner is away to attend IFIP International Embedded System Symposium (IESS) in Brazil. He will talk about three papers Taming the Memory Demand Complexity of Adaptive Vision Algorithms [1], Modeling and Analysis of SLDL-captured NoC Abstractions [2] and Rapid, High-Level Performance Estimation for DSE using Calibrated Weight Tables [3].
