Position Description

  • Learn and develop new ways to use current services/software offered through Academic Technology Services
  • Support in developing an understanding in learning module creations and support
  • Develop use cases and user documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of media training workshops and materials
  • Assist with production of digital media materials. Produce, edit or duplicate material in video, audio and or digital formats.
  • Receive and respond to inquiries; provide follow up on pending issues.
  • Research software products and services
  • Provide project support on academic technology projects
  • Provide academic technology support to faculty and students
Skills
  • Knowledge of word processing, web design (tools), social media, spreadsheet and database software desired.
  • Desire to research and learn about technologies that support teaching and learning, media production and multimedia software.
  • The ability to work independently and interact effectively with administrators and faculty members
  • Professionalism and discretion surrounding legal and confidential matters a must
  • Strong communication skills including writing and presenting for a variety of audiences is essential.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment

The ideal candidate will have some or all technical skills listed below – digital video, photography, screen casting, learning object/module creation tools (such as Tegrity, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline) along with audio mixing experience. Adobe CS6, xml, HTML, and CSS along with experience with game-theory design and learning analytics, as well as simulation and other virtual platforms.

As a member of the Business Development team, you'll work with business owners over the phone to introduce them to Toast. We only work with hard-working individuals who are motivated to succeed and play an integral role in the development of a startup.
This is the perfect position for students who want to gain sales experience within a fast-growing company. As a Business Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from an extremely talented team while also being able to shape your experience with your own input and ideas.

The Toast team works remotely using the Google Apps suite and Skype to communicate, with the exception of a weekly in-person meeting in Kendall Square.

    Interested in investing in time with high school students interested in entrepreneurship! Then check-out this cool opportunity to share your expertise and meet some interesting people!
    The Program
    Launch is a summer entrepreneurship program held for 30 high school students at MIT . The program is designed to inspire high school students interested in entrepreneurship start companies; the program is scheduled from July 13 through August 10.
    The Position
    We are looking for undergraduate students to serve as Residential Counselors during the program. At a minimum, counselors are responsible for living on MIT campus for the duration of the program and being available in the evenings after 7PM. Residential Counselors are compensated in the form of housing (equivalent to $75/day) in a single dorm room at MIT for the whole program. Counselors are welcome to pursue other interests (e.g., research, internships, classes etc.), as long as they are available in the dorms at 7PM each day.
