POSITION OVERVIEW:
Alpine is hiring Corporate Development & Operations Analysts to grow its portfolio companies through acquisitions and business partnerships, as well as to build future leaders for Alpine and its portfolio companies.

The range of activities and responsibilities that professionals will be exposed to will provide development opportunities and experience in must-have skill areas for future leaders within the firm, including business development, strategy, operations, C-level interaction, and project management. Analysts are expected to develop rapidly, and successful professionals will be offered a significant amount of upward mobility through a variety of career paths within Alpine and its portfolio companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of a Corporate Development & Operations Analyst is to find acquisition targets and business partnerships for an Alpine portfolio company. A professional will be assigned to (and work for) one Alpine portfolio company in order to maximize value creation opportunities. This role involves researching industries and companies, outreach and relationship building with CEOs and business owners, and the evaluation of new opportunities. The Corporate Development & Operations Analyst will work directly with the executive management team at a portfolio company and Alpine’s sourcing, operations, and investing teams.

The Corporate Development & Operations Analyst will have the opportunity to be on the phone or in-person developing relationships with CEOs and business owners for as much as half the day, and will spend the balance of their time being working on other activities to support the finding and evaluation of acquisitions and business partnerships. Professionals will also play a Board support role for the portfolio company. Specific activities for the role include:

• Strategy & Research
o Work with Alpine and the portfolio company to research and build a market map of an
industry, ultimately providing a recommendation on where the company should be acquisitive and where it should look for business partnerships
o Work with Alpine and the portfolio company to develop a scorecard of acquisition targets
and business partnerships
o Research and build the list of potential acquisition and business partnership targets for the
portfolio company
• Deal Origination
o Develop an outreach campaign to maximize in-touch rate with potential acquisition targets
o Reach out to CEOs and business owners directly (through phone, email, and meetings at
conferences) to pitch the portfolio company and Alpine as a partner
o Maintain relationships with CEOs and business owners over a multiple year period to be top
of mind when they look to sell
o Regular check-ins with CEO, Board and Alpine professionals to discuss progress and strategy
• Deal Evaluation
o Evaluate acquisition candidates and business partnerships against the portfolio company’s
criteria
o Pitch actionable opportunities to Alpine’s team and the portfolio company executives
o Work with portfolio company executives to execute on business partnerships
o Work with Alpine’s team to execute on M&A transactions
• Board Support
o Participate in monthly financial calls and report results to Alpine team
o Attend quarterly Board meetings
o Add-on integration planning and execution
o Other ad-hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS:
▪ Minimum 3.7 GPA
▪ Demonstrated leadership skills (e.g. captain of sports team, student club executive, fraternity /
sorority executive, etc.)
▪ Strong oral and written communications skills required
▪ Strong and demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required
