We kicked off the Entrepreneurs Club Fall ’15 speaker series in a big way last night. Over 400 students packed into the Curry Student Center Ground Floor to hear the Founder and CEO of MassChallenge, John Harthorne, speak about the accelerator and the benefits of starting a company in college. The event went off without a hitch and after all was said and done, John answered questions for well over 30 minutes, giving what advice he could to the eager students.
If you liked this week’s event, or couldn’t make it out, you’re in luck because…we’re doing it all over again September 22nd with Casper. Casper is an all-new bed startup providing a completely different type of bed buying experience with a completely different kind of bed. Neil Parikh, the Co-Founder and COO, was recently named Forbes 30 Under 30 for his work with the company that just raised 55 million in VC funding and is one of the fastest growing startups… all at the age of 25.
Neil is joining the Entrepreneurs Club to talk about designing a physical product for the purpose of being sold through the Web, in addition to the company’s story navigating the market of sleepers. We’re also told that they’re looking to hire students full time, so if you’re on the hunt for a job, they’re bringing some of their team to discuss opportunities and even one of their recruitment specialists, Scott Edelstein, a Northeastern University Alum. And if that wasn’t enough, they’re treating everyone who attends, who’s over 21, to drinks at Our House East… What’s better than that?
