Admission to Northeastern's undergraduate program is highly competitive. Our goal is to build a diverse community of intellectually curious, mature, and highly motivated students who are a good match for our distinctive educational experience. Toward that end, we are committed to working with families to make Northeastern affordable to every student. Northeastern's Admissions department is comprised of Admissions Counselors and visitor services, offering on and off campus programming for prospective students and their families.
The Torch Scholars Program is a bold and innovative initiative that provides students with the opportunity to explore their passions and expand their global horizons. The program’s nomination and holistic review process identifies bright students from across the country who have already succeeded against the odds, but who have not yet reached their full academic potential. Torch is dedicated to supporting these talented, first-generation college students through an extensive full-scholarship program.
Student Financial Services
Student Financial Services (SFS) is dedicated to supporting students and families in the pursuit of their educational goals by providing clear information and resources around financial aid programs, costs and benefits. Comprised of five areas - financial aid, student accounts, student employment, the Center for Financial Independence and the Center for the Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers - SFS offers an array of information and services to meet the needs of our students. From assisting them in navigating the financial aid application process, understanding and successfully managing their student account, searching for available employment opportunities, and more, SFS provides individualized guidance and support throughout each student’s enrollment at Northeastern and beyond.
Office of Global Services
The Office of Global Services (OGS) (formerly the International Student and Scholar Institute) is committed to being an active resource to the university’s community of international students, scholars and their families. We provide professional expertise and support from the time of admission to beyond graduation. Our staff is committed to providing professional expertise and advice to ensure that our students maintain compliance through their immigration, academic and employment experiences.
Center for Advancement of Veterans & Servicemembers
Northeastern University’s Center for the Advancement of Veterans and Servicemembers (CAVS) is dedicated to helping you achieve your educational and career aspirations. The center’s proactive focus on student veteran employability expands Northeastern’s pledge to honor and support the education and career advancement of returning servicemembers. The center will offer a wealth of services and benefits, including mentorship opportunities and assistance with the transition to civilian life.
Center for Financial Independence
Northeastern’s Center for Financial Independence (CFI) is a destination for students interested in learning about personal financial management, as well as those eager to impart their own financial expertise and advice to their peers. The center supports all Northeastern students in the pursuit and achievement of financial competency and, ultimately, financial independence. Its programming imparts the knowledge and skills needed to make informed, savvy decisions about personal finances, both short-term and long-term, across the spectrum (salary negotiations, credit cards, student loans, living on a budget, debt management, home purchases, investments, retirement and more).
Enrollment Contact Center
The Enrollment Management Contact Center is the primary point of contact for several of the university’s departments. These include: College of Professional Studies, Student Financial Services, Undergraduate Admissions, NU Global Network, Veterans, and Parking. The Contact Center team members are trained to field questions related to all of the areas we support. They are able to assist callers with billing and payment issues, application status checks, missing documents, and university policies and procedures. The Contact Center team works very closely with the various departments that we support and will direct callers to the appropriate party if we are unable to resolve their issue. The Contact Center has begun to expand its role in doing outbound calls in support of the undergraduate admissions office and the College of Professional Studies.
The Enrollment Research team provides timely data analytics that inform and help guide strategic decision making across the entirety of the student lifecycle, from recruitment and enrollment through to persistence and graduation. Such analysis contributes to student recruitment strategy, admissions strategy and reporting, financial aid leveraging, predictive yield modeling, enrollment forecasting, and retention research.
Enrollment Systems provides technical leadership for the division. The team helps departments identify technology solutions to improve the student experience and streamline administrative tasks. Enrollment Systems also serves as the primary Salesforce administrators for the division, helping to train and document work being done on the platform.
