Professor Patrick Mullen accepted for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar

Professor Patrick Mullen has been accepted for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar in Dublin on James Joyce’s Ulysses, held from June 18 to July 20, 2012, at Trinity College, Dublin (http://research.pomona.edu/kevin-dettmar/).  The seminar will explore the critical history of the twentieth century’s most influential novel in the city that inspired Joyce’s imagination.  Professor Mullen is the author of the forthcoming study The Poor Bugger’s Tool: Irish Modernism, Queer Labor, and Postcolonial History.  Professor Mullen is about to lead his second Dialogue of Civilization to Ireland. In Fall 2012, he will be teaching ENGL 4687 Major Figure: James Joyce, bringing what he has learned about Joyce and Dublin to students at Northeastern
