Scott Quint
Assistant
Dean and Director Scott Quint has served as the assistant dean and director of the International Student & Scholar Institute (formerly the International Student Office) since 1994, overseeing immigration advising and support services to an international community of approximately 2,900 students and scholars from more than 130 countries. He has also developed and implemented a variety of intercultural enrichment programs, student leadership opportunities and diversity education initiatives, and serves as the adviser to eight cultural student organizations. Quint has oversight of the institute’s international student services and intercultural programs, international scholar services and the intercultural library and resource area. Prior to joining Northeastern, he held administrative positions at Boston’s International Student and Scholar Office and at a community-counseling center affiliated with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. He currently holds a national position in the community programming section of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Quint holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cornell University and a master’s degree in mass communication from Boston University. He studied comparative politics and culture at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and was a Malone fellow in Arab and Islamic studies (Saudi Arabia and Bahrain). In addition, he served in ministry of education delegations to Pakistan and Taiwan, and has traveled to more than 80 countries. | ||
