Workshop on State of the Art Experimental Approaches for Wind Engineering and Wind Energy
This workshop will be a one day series of presentations that focus on state of the art experimental aerodynamic/aeroelastic load assessment techniques focusing on wind engineering and wind energy. Papers are solicited on topics covering state of the art experimental approaches to better understand wind induced effects related to civil infrastructure applications. These topics include, but are not limited to: new techniques and system identification methods for assessing loads on and responses of structures including buildings, bridges and infrastructure/lifeline elements; wind energy related experiments including study of wind loading on renewable energy devices and wind turbines; experiments to determine performance of sustainable building systems with a focus on energy efficiency; new testing approaches related to tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms/downbursts; new approaches to study wind and snow load interaction. The organizing committee invites everyone to submit an abstract and join our workshop.
