Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures (HKHF) aims to prevent childhood obesity where young children live, learn, and play. To address early childhood obesity and to reverse a future for poor health among Boston’s children, HKHF partners with Boston Head Start & Children’s Services and the City of Boston’s Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) to provide programming, education and training in the neighborhoods of Fenway, Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain, and Lower Roxbury. HKHF began with and is supported by an inter- institutional partnership among Northeastern University, Children’s Hospital Boston and The Boston Red Sox. Through this partnership, it is the partners hope to provide a unique contribution to early childhood obesity prevention efforts locally and nationally.
