Shannon Community Safety Initiative

The Massachusetts legislature recently provided $11 million for anti-gang grants through the Senator Charles E. Shannon, Jr. Community Safety Initiative (Shannon CSI). This is a new $11 million grant program administered by the Executive Office of Public Safety (EOPS) to 'support regional and multi-disciplinary approaches to combat gang violence through coordinated programs for prevention and intervention.'
