Get Rich Slow is a game-based seminar, developed by the EdTech Center for Boston College's Center for Retirement Research, in which participants respond to questions about financial concepts and make financial decisions for a fictional character in order to learn about major financial planning issues faced by women at four different ages/life stages. At the beginning of the game, the main character, Sally Savings is 45, and her husband, Norm L. Guy, is 47. Sally and Norm have 401K plans with a combined value of $75,000. Through four rounds of play, representing different ages, participants make decisions for Sally and Norm, then see how their decisions affect the growth of their retirement savings. The project was funded by the NASD Investor Education Foundation.
