Pre-Med Advising Site

MedAppTrak was designed to streamline the medical school application process for all involved. A multi-purpose Web site, it is designed to achieve three core goals: 1). Increase the number of students who apply to medical school; 2). Attract top pre-med students to Northeastern University; and 3). Simplify the application process for students and faculty.

A public section of the site provides students with efficient access to resources and tools to guide them through the process of preparing for and applying to medical school. Northeastern pre-med students receive an account for MedAppTrak, an online application that allows students to submit all the information required by the Pre-Med Committee, which prepares letters of recommendation for all Northeastern students applying to medical school. The MedAppTrak tool developed by EdTech uses OpenLaszlo, an open source platform for creating standards-based rich Internet applications with intuitive user interface capabilities.
