The EdTech Buzz
Innovative teaching andlearning projects

April 2007
This June Biology professor Kostia Bergman and EdTech Center instructional designer, Laurie Poklop, will present their work using Open Source Portfolio (OSP) software, now a component of the Sakai open-source learning management system, for creation of student ePortfolios and curriculum assessment at the 7th annual Sakai Conference in Amsterdam.
Their presentation will focus on a set of tools developed by the EdTech Center to allow Biology faculty to compile and analyze the artifacts (or work samples) that Biology students entered into an assessment rubric in the portfolio system, and to facilitate anonymous review and assessment of the artifacts by external expert reviewers. More information about this project is available in the Projects section under Grant Funded Research.
