Collaborative e-Teaching Day with Boston College

May 2005

Academic Technology Services at Boston College is sponsoring an e-Teaching Day in collaboration with Northeastern University. BC has invited Northeastern faculty and EdTech staff members to participate in the event in a continued effort to collaborate and share knowledge across institutions. The day will include a showcase of teaching with technology from BC and Northeastern faculty members, a keynote lecture by Jon Paul Potts of the OpenCourseWare project (http://ocw.mit.edu) at MIT, and presentation of the first-annual Teaching with New Media Awards. This new award is based on Northeastern's Effective or Innovative Use of Technology in Teaching Awards. The day will also feature a technology raffle, hands-on workshops and new product demonstrations.

EdTech Center instructional designers Suzy Ascher and Laurie Poklop will participate in a project planning workshop to help BC faculty brainstorm new academic technology projects.
