Select and Apply Slide Templates

Slide templates format slides to accept text, graphics, and other objects in predetermined layouts.

To open the Slide Layout task pane, go to the Format menu and choose Slide Layout.

The Slide Layout task pane organizes the available layouts into three types:

• Text (includes combinations of title and bullet points only)
• Content (includes only inserted objects, like images, charts, and tables)
• Text and Content (Includes both text and inserted objects)

To apply a template to a slide:

1. Select a slide in Normal view OR select a number of slides in Slide Sorter view.
2. Point to the layout you want to apply.
3. Click on the arrow that appears.



4. Choose Apply to Selected Slides.

Try it! Select a slide and apply a template that includes text bullets and content.
