Add Notes to a Slide

To add notes to a slide, simply click in the Notes pane, below the selected slide in Normal view.

Note text can be formatted using the text formatting tools in the Formatting toolbar.

Consider the purpose of your Notes before you create them:

  • Are the notes meant to aid you or someone else deliver a presentation? If so, they may not need to be very formal.
  • Are they meant to be an alternate delivery format of the content of your presentation? For example, might they be used by students who missed a lecture? If so, you might want to create notes in a more formal narrative style.

Notes can be displayed in two ways:
