Add a Chart to a Slide

To add chart to a slide:

  1. First, do one of the following:
    • Open the Insert menu and choose Chart.
    • Click the Chart icon on the toolbar.
    • Apply a content layout to a slide and click the chart icon.

    A sample bar chart appears on the slide, along with a datasheet, or spreadsheet.

  2. Edit the datasheet to change the data presented in the chart.
  3. While you are editing a chart, a Chart menu appears in the menu bar.

    Use this menu to change the chart type (for example to a line chart or pie chart) and select other chart options.

Try it! Format a slide with a content layout and click the icon to insert a chart. Change the data on the data sheet and use the Chart menu to experiment with different chart types.
