Introduction

These web pages contain our recommendations for the most effective methods and tools to use to continue teaching when classroom instruction at Northeastern must be interrupted abruptly. We hope that you find this information useful. Please bookmark this site so you can refer to it quickly.

Possible reasons for the disruption of classroom instruction include, but are not limited to:

  • Pandemic illness
  • Natural disaster
  • Unsafe conditions on campus

A flu outbreak may not hasten a university-wide closing but would impact infected students who are unable to attend classes for days, if not weeks, due to quarantining. These students will need to have a means to participate in class activities and engage with the instructor during their absence and to catch up once they recover. Following many of the recommendations on this website will assist the students to efficiently and successfully complete the term.
