The Toll of Transportation: Latino Travel Needs in Massachusetts

The Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University and the community organizing group Neighbor to Neighbor released a research report showing how the inadequacy of public transportation in four major cities across Massachusetts takes a toll on Latino residents in terms of household finances, access to jobs, and general mobility. The report, funded by the Barr Foundation, is based a survey of more than 360 low-income Latino residents in the cities of Worcester, Lynn East Boston, and Springfield. For more information, see the Toll of Transportation page.
