Mary A. Barrows, M.Ed., C.A.G.S., Senior Director, Learning Strategies and Student Success

Mary administers the Disability Resource Center’s (DRC) programs and services with the ability to establish project priorities, track and monitor service delivery and address accommodation needs and services of students with disabilities. Mary also provides leadership and oversight for related student support programs, including the Learning Disabilities Program, and Student Athlete Support Services. Kyle Droz, Associate Director of Operations and Access Coordinator

Kyle serves as the Associate Director of Operations and Access Coordinator.  He oversees and supervises the coordinator of note-taking services, operations administrator, and the service coordinator. In addition, he carries a case load of students who are Deaf or hard of hearing and blind or have low visions.   He also provides accessible text material to approved students and provides support to faculty and staff around digital accessibility.  Contact Kyle at k.droz@northeastern.edu or (617) 373-5137.

Leora Simon, Assistant Director

Leora provides disability-related support services to students with psychiatric disorders, ensuring the student's equitable participation in the academic experience. Leora helps students understand their disability, and the impact it has on their academic lives. She offers one-on-one, specialized advising and instruction with academic skills, and other compensatory   strategies specific to each student's needs. Debbi Auerbach, Service Coordinator

Debbi serves as the contact person to prospective students and their parents to provide information about the DRC and its services. She reviews diagnostic documentation for adequacy and provides guidance in obtaining additional documentation when needed. Debbi also handles requests for certain support services. Lindsey Ganey, Academic Assistant

Lindsey coordinates daily operations, scheduling, and test administrations at the DRC. In addition, she hires, trains, and supervises work-study students for the front desk. Mary-Christine Bird, Disability Specialist

Mary-Christine (MC) provides disability-related support services to students with mobility impairments, chronic and degenerative disorders, and acquired/traumatic brain injuries.  She helps students understand their disability, and the impact it has on their academic lives. Ariel Lesnick, Learning Disability Specialist

Kathryn provides disability-related support services to students with Autism-Spectrum Disorders and Mental health diagnoses and works to ensure that students have equitable access to their academic experience. She helps students understand and manage their disability, and the impact it has on their academic lives. Note-taking Services Coordinator
