Feature image of Summer Research Opportunities for Undergraduates (REU)

Northeastern is an REU Site which hosts a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs in various departments. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where they work closely with the faculty and other researchers throughout the term, and receive guidance for moving into graduate level programs via faculty seminars and mentorship.


Northeastern is or has been a host site for REU’s in the following areas and more:

  • Chemistry & Chemical Biology
  • Biology
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology
  • Data-Intensive Computing
