Northeastern University School of Law’s (NUSL) Committee Against Institutional Racism (CAIR), in existence for almost 30 years, convenes faculty, students, and staff of the School of Law to address issues of institutional racism and make recommendations on behalf of the membership.

Efforts

  • Through CAIR’s efforts, NUSL addresses issues related to diversity in student admissions and faculty hiring, support for student concerns about curricular and non-curricular racial issues, avenues for faculty-student mentorship, and academic success rates for students of color.
  • Most recently in 2015, a new diversity-focused Orientation program was launched to emphasize the value of diversity and inclusion within NUSL.
